Storyline

One day, Amalia found the old violin of her grandfather in the attic of the family home. Amalia is very curious and begins to investigate the Prandi’s family. She discovers that they were originally from a small town, Arco, located on shore of Lake Garda in northern Italy. Most of the Prandi’s members were luthiers or violinists. At the end of the nineteenth century, they need to leave their home to escape from famine and to find a better future. These young people, with their instruments and tools under their arm, dispersed throughout the French and Spanish Mediterranean coast and some even crossed the Atlantic to reach the region of Sao Paolo in Brazil. This is a story about migration and music explained through people that love music.
