Storyline
The world's leaders have come together to reach an agreement that will essentially save the planet. Obama, Merkel and Putin look like ordinary people when they drink coffee from paper cups and exchange casual greetings. But under the veneer of diplomacy, the political game is tough as nails and a deeply fascinating battle of interests – and a battle against time. So whether the climate summit in Paris in 2015 was a success or a failure depends on who you ask. But in this observant film created with full access to the events, the game takes on a human face in a deeply passionate struggle for paragraphs, money and personal passions. Everything is at stake. Not least among the conference's managers and moderators, whose commitment shines through the mechanical professionalism, while the clock is ticking in the background. Together with a charming, Indian man, who has taken part in all COP meetings, they use well-chosen words to describe the disturbing extent of the climate crisis, but also the many opportunities that the world's leaders actually have to counter it, if only they can agree to do so – now.
