Storyline

Samuele is 12 and lives on an island in the middle of the sea. He goes to school, likes firing with his sling and hunting. He prefers the games of the earth, despite living in a place where everything’s about the sea and about the men, women and children who try to make their way across it to reach his island. But his isn’t just any old island. It is Lampedusa, Europe’s most symbolic border, and it has been crossed in the last 20 years by thousands of immigrants in search of freedom.
